So although Jared and Tate’s story seems to end pretty conclusively after Bully and Until You, they actually still have a lot to figure out about themselves and their relationship- hence Aflame.įor those of you who don’t know, Jared is a quiet, brooding asshole *grins* and Tate is his best friend, his other half. Now, if you haven’t read Bully, the first book in this series, I don’t want to give anything away, so just know that Jared and Tate had an extremely rocky start in their roller-coaster of a relationship. In Aflame, we see a new side to Jared and Tate, and their relationship. This novel is (unsurprisingly) angsty, sexy, entertaining, and emotional. After two books, we were back in Tate and Jared’s head and what a way to end the series. Okay wow, so I just realized I never wrote a review for Aflame and my first thought was, “Giselle, how could you do this?!?!” Maybe it’s because I had the biggest book hangover of all time after finishing this book- since it IS the end of the series, but that is no excuse, so here we go.Īflame by Penelope Douglas is the final installment in the Fall Away series and words can not express how irrevocably and unconditionally in-love I am with this series-so yes, tears ensued when I was done with it.
